Over 113,000 people inoculated on 6th day of vaccination drive

A total of 113,175 individuals were vaccinated against Covid-19 with covishield on Monday, the sixth day of the vaccination drive.  

The Ministry of Health and Population on Monday issued a press statement that said 15,329 people were vaccinated in Province 1; 15,024 in Province 2 and 40,272 individuals were vaccinated in Bagmati Province on Monday. 

Likewise, 13,922 people in Gandaki Province, 14,640 in Lumbini Province, 6,131 in Karnali Province and 7,857 people in Sudur Paschim Province received the vaccine.

The vaccine provided by the Indian government as grant assistance is being given to the health workers and other frontline workers from 191 inoculation centres.

As only four days are left for the first phase of the vaccination, all selected ones have been urged to receive the vaccine, spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, Prof Dr Jageshwor Gautam said in the statement.
