The Transportation Management Service Office, Bharatpur, is going to start renewing the paper driver's license from Thursday. The office, which has started the process of renewing the smart license from November 24, is going to start work on Thursday after completing all the procedures.
According to the head of the office, Binod Poudel, the work was delayed due to some problems in renewing the paper permit. He said that the work was started late as there were problems with 60 percent of the paper permits. He informed it would be difficult to issue a copy right now, as it would take some time to address the issue with the driver's licenses.
Stating that an average of 30 people renew daily, he said that so far more than 200 renewal forms have been filled from there. He informed that work is underway to issue the driver's license within the current fiscal year. The obligation to go to Hetauda to renew their driver's license has been removed.
