Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has laid emphasis on the need of providing quality services and facilities to the people.
Inaugurating the newly-constructed administrative building of Gauriganga Municipality in Kailali district on Monday, the Prime Minister urged the local officials to pay attention to provide quality service and facility to the people after the construction of modern building.
The government has given priority to the development works including upgrading Geta Medical College as the university, constructing dry port at Dodhara Chandani, bridge over the Mahakali river and highways, he mentioned, sharing that he has given special priority to the development of Sudurpaschim Province.
PM Dahal expressed his commitment that the government would take possible initiatives to construct the ring road at the municipality and to prevent river encroachment.
On the occasion, Member of the House of Representatives elected from Kailali-4, Bir Bahadur Balayar, drew Prime Minister Dahal's attention on the issues of river encroachment and constructing physical infrastructures in Godavari, the capital of Sudurpaschim Province.
The administrative building of the municipality was constructed at the cost of Rs 60 million plus the amount of the municipality and the government, said Mayor Devu Dutta Kandel. The three-storied building has 24 rooms.
