PM Deuba and President Bhandari extend greetings on Eid-ul-Fitr

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr today, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and President Bidya Devi Bhandari extended their best wishes to members of the Nepali Muslim community within the country and abroad.

 In the greetings message, Prime Minister Deuba also wished for health, happiness, peace, and progress to all the Nepalis of the Muslim community. Deuba stressed the common responsibility of people to preserve and promote cultural and religious heritages, festivities, culture, and traditions. "I am confident that the Eid festival will encourage everyone to promote our festivities, cultures, and traditions," read PM Deuba's message. The Prime Minister also expressed his hope that the Eid festival would contribute to further strengthening national unity and fostering brotherhood and goodwill among all communities in the country.

Similarly, President Bidya Devi Bhandari also expressed confidence that the festival would help promote the unique culture and tradition of the Muslim community. She wished for the strengthening of national unity and cultural solidarity amongst Nepalis. “Eid festival has contributed to further strengthening the culture of tolerance and cooperation in the diverse Nepali society,” reads President Bhandari’s message.
