An extensive art camp is to be organized in Pokhara with the participation of artists from four countries, including Nepal.
The art camp is being held in collaboration with Gandaki Academy from September 16 to 20. Around 100 artists from Nepal, India, Bangladesh and Iran are attending the artists' camp, International Watercolour Society (IWS) Nepal has stated. IWS Nepal is the organizer of the event.
It is stated that the programme is being organized physically with the decline in COVID-19 and in the context of promoting tourism. Before this, the fine arts activities were badly hit by the pandemic and were confined to the virtual arenas only.
The event is also an attempt to project Nepal's identity in the world by means of art, said IWS Nepal's president NB Gurung.
