According to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', the construction process of the Nijgadh International Airport will proceed soon.
Addressing the opening ceremony of Pokhara International Airport on Sunday, Prime Minister Dahal also raised the issue of Nijgadh International Airport. After the Supreme Court's order regarding the Nijgarh airport, there is confusion regarding the progress of the construction. A group of experts formed by the government has submitted a report to the government with the conclusion that an airport can be built at Nijgadh in Bara. But the government hasn't discussed how to proceed with the construction of the airport.
Prime Minister Dahal further stated that Kaski can be connected to many countries because of Pokhara International Airport, saying that Nijgadh Airport will be developed. He said that the Pokhara airport will contribute to the country's economy.
