Pokhara Metropolitan City Office to resume all its services

The Pokhara Metropolitan City Office has decided to resume all its services from today. The metropolitan had halted all services during the prohibitory order that was imposed to stem the spread of the coronavirus.

Chief Administrative Officer, Mahesh Baral, informed that the metropolitan city office and its branches and all the 33 ward offices have resumed services by adopting necessary health safety precautions. All services except very essential ones had been halted in Pokhara along with the start of the second wave of COVID-19.

The metropolitan city office stated that services have been resumed as the District Administration Office has relaxed some provisions during the latest prohibitory order.

Meanwhile, other offices have also restarted their services. The District Administration Office, Land Revenue Office, Transport Management Office, among others have decided to resume their services. Some offices resumed their services from Friday while others are doing so from today. However, services will be resumed on turn wise basis.

Chief District Officer Thaneshwor Gautam informed that the District Administration Office has decided to resume its services based on the importance of the work and on a turn wise manner.
