Two fraudsters were arrested for showing the temptation to exchange US dollars at a cheap rate.
Nepal Police has arrested two people who cheated by showing temptation to exchange US dollars at a cheap rate. The team of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office of the police has arrested 32-year-old Sanjay Tamang and 31-year-old Bishnu Tamang of Sindhupalchok Bahrbise, who committed serial fraud by showing temptation to exchange American dollars at a cheap rate, and released them today.
According to the police head office, they were arrested from Unique Colony in Tokha Municipality of Kathmandu when they were about to exchange US dollars worth Rs.15 lakhs.
It has been revealed in the investigation that the arrested persons repeatedly contacted the victims over the phone and robbed them of millions of rupees in different places of the valley by taking money under the pretext of cheating them with the lure of exchanging illegal US dollars at a cheap rate.
According to the police, they were arrested and sent to the police circle for further investigation and necessary action in the case under the Fraud and Foreign Exchange Act.
