Possibility of rain for some days more

The weather will be partly to generally cloudy with chances of light to moderate rainfall in most the parts of the country for some more days, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said.

According to the Department, three weather systems have their influence in the country at present. These are the local wind, the low-pressure system close to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar in India and the Westerly wind.

Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder, lightning and gusty winds is forecast at some places in the hilly region due to the impact of the three weather systems. The weather will be partly to generally cloudy in Province no 1 and in Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces while it will be partly cloudy to generally fair in the remaining provinces tonight.

There is the possibility of light to moderate rainfall along with thunder, lightning and gusty winds at a few places in Province no 1 and Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces at night.

The Department has forecast light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder, lightning and gusty winds at some places of Province No 1 and Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places in the rest of the country on Monday.

The latest statistics shared by the Meteorological Forecasting Division show that the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley was 18.0 degrees Celsius and the maximum 25.2 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours.

Similarly, Jumla recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 9.2 degrees Celsius while Dadeldhura had the highest maximum of 37.4 degrees Celsius over the last 24 hours.
