The gold price has hit a new high in the domestic market today.
President of the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, Manik Ratna Shakya, said the price of hallmark gold is being traded at Rs 106 thousand 300 per tola (11.66 grams) today increasing by Rs 1,000 per tola as compared to Monday.
Earlier on March 9, 2022, the price of gold had recorded an all-time high and traded at Rs 105 thousand and five per tola. According to NEGOSIDA, the price of worked gold has been set at Rs 105 thousand 800 per tola today.
Similarly, the price of silver has decreased by Rs 15 per tola today and is being traded at Rs 1,365. The price of gold has increased due to the war between Russia and Ukraine and as central banks of different countries started increasing gold stock, shared Shakya.
The NEGOSIDA has been demanding 30-35 kg of gold daily but it has been getting only 10 kg.
