Prime Minister Deuba expresses grief over Giri's death

Prime Minister and President of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed shock over the news of the death of the party's central member and member of parliament Pradeep Giri.

"I am very shocked by the news of the death of my friend Pradeep Giriji, the leader of the Nepali Congress and socialist thinker of Nepali politics," Prime Minister Deuba said in a tweet last night. He said that with the death of leader Giri, Nepal has lost a true and good leader.

Meanwhile, the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party has expressed profound sorrow over the demise of its member Pradeep Giri. Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party Whip Min Bahadur Bishwakarma issued a condolence statement and extended heartfelt condolences and wished for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

Bishwakarma also informed that the mortal body will be kept at Nepal Medici Hospital, Lalitpur tomorrow Sunday morning from 9:00 am to 11:00 am for those who wish to pay their last respects to late Giri. Likewise, from 11:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m., the mortal remains will be kept at the Nepali Congress Central Office, BP Smriti Bhawan, Sanepa Lalitpur, and then taken to Pashupati Aryaghat for last rites.

Likewise, the Nepali Congress party has also expressed grief over the death of the party leader and member of the House of Representatives, Pradeep Giri.

Socialist thinker Giri, who was born in Siraha in 2004 BS, became active in Congress politics after the political change of 2021 BS. Suffering from cancer, he passed away today at the age of 74 while undergoing treatment at Medicity Hospital in Lalitpur at 9:30 pm on Saturday.
