Chief of Province no 1, Somnath Adhikari 'Pyasi' has expressed his respect to the brave martyrs who laid down their lives for the dignity and honor of our country, and the people.
In a message he gave on the occasion of Martyrs Day today, the Chief has remembered the historic people's movement, the armed struggle, sacrifices, and dedication of the Nepali people at various times for upholding the national interest, establishing the democratic republic, and ushering forward-looking change.
He paid tributes to the great martyrs who laid down their lives by freeing the country from the oppression of the Rana autocracy as well as all the known and unknown martyrs born in this land. Pyasi has also stressed the need of protecting the achievements of the various democratic movements.
He conveyed that true tribute and respect to the martyrs would be achieved if everyone unites and work together for the country's development by initiating peace through political harmony.
