The budget session of the National Assembly of Province 1 has been scheduled to be held on June 7.
Hikmat Karki, Minister of Internal Affairs and Law of Province 1, informed that a proposal by the provincial council of ministers to hold the National Assembly meeting at 2 pm on June 7 has been forwarded to the chief minister of the province.
Minister Karki mentioned that the recommendation to hold the budget session had been forwarded to the chief minister as the constitution has a provision to announce the provincial budget on June 15. Meanwhile, the opposition parties have been complaining that the provincial government has not yet called a budget session though the date to announce the budget is fast approaching.
