As flood from Saptakoshi River entered various places in Udaipur's Belka municipality, relief assistance has been started from various areas including the state government.
According to Ashok Karki, the mayor of the municipality, relief has been given to the displaced people from the flood by various agencies including the district administration office, Morang, and Government of Province 1. According to Deputy Mayor Jira Rai, the district administration has provided materials such as noodles, water, mats, arms and biscuits for the flood victims. Similarly, rice, pulses, edible oil and salt have been given assistance from the Government of Province 1.
The flood victims are kept in schools at different places of the city, and the municipality is making arrangements to provide them with food, shelter and other consumables. According to the municipality, 2,500 people have been displaced in Belka's Koshi river coastal area including Sisoulia, Dumribot, Satpatre, ABC, Sri Lanka Island, Tapeswari, Karaiya, Bhagalpur due to the Saptakoshi river floods that occurred on Monday and Tuesday.
