Relief provided to families affected by landslides

Relief has been distributed to the victims' family of Sayal village who lost their lives in the floods and landslides.

Relief has been distributed to the victims' family of Sayal village who lost their lives in the floods and landslides caused by the continuous rains since October 18. Chief District Officer Shankar Bahadur Bista had reached the area and provided relief of Rs 200,000 per family. Bista said that relief would be distributed in other areas of the district as well.

Similarly, Nepal Red Cross Society, Doti Branch has provided utensils, blankets and clothes to the victim's family. A check has also been handed over to the relatives of Mandhari Valayar who died in the landslide in Shikhar Municipality-11 and Gaonpalika-5.

Fifteen people were killed and one is missing in the district. It is estimated that at least worth Rs 10 million damages has been caused due to the unseasonal rain.
