Result of 8 municipalities of Baitadi made public so far

The final results of eight municipalities of Baitadi have been made public. In the district which has 10 local levels, the results of other levels except Purchaundi Municipality and Dogadakedar Village Municipality have been made public.

In Baitadi, the Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML) have so far won three each, the CPN (Maoist Center) one and the independents one. Congress has won in Patan Nagar, Shivnath Municipality and Sigas Municipality. UML has won in Dasharathchanda Nagar, Pancheshwor Municipality and Surnaya Municipality. Similarly, Maoist candidates have won in Melauli Nagar and Swatantra Dilashani.

UML's Gorakh Bahadur Chand and UML's Bina Bhatt have been elected as the chairman and vice-chairman of Pancheshwor village municipality, respectively. Similarly, Congress' Karna Singh Saud and UML's Sakuntala Saud have been elected as the chairman and vice-chairman of Shivnath village municipality respectively. Bhim Bahadur Chand of the UCPN (Maoist) and Parvati Bohara Bista of the Nepali Congress have won the post of Melauli mayor and deputy mayor respectively.

Similarly, UML's Pushkar Raj Joshi and Congress' Kaushila Chand have emerged victorious in Dasharathchanda. Gauri Singh Rawal of the Nepali Congress and Kamal Singh Bohara of the UCPN (Maoist) won the post of mayor and deputy mayor of patan respectively. Similarly, UML's Amar Bahadur Kunwar and Nepali Congress' Manju Bohara have been elected as the chairman and vice-chairman of Surnaya village municipality respectively.

Hari Singh Dhami of the Nepali Congress has won the post of president and Dhana Dhami of the CPN-UML has won the post of vice-president of Sigas.
