Thirty five families hit by flood at Gobargadha in Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-13 in Saptari district are still waiting for reliefs since the past four days.

The village has been submerged after Saptakoshi river overflowed and entered the settlements due to heavy rainfall. Still the village is under water up to three feet making it difficult for the local people to stay at their houses and cook food, said a flood victim Sita Ram Yadav. "What we were left with food stock has been depleted. Now, all of us are wondering how to survive without food," he lamented.

Chief District Officer Jaya Narayan Acharya said that the flood victims would get reliefs soon as efforts in this regard were being made in coordination with the local levels.
