The Supreme Court has issued an interim order asking the administration not to halt the sale of goods and services through the online medium and also home delivery services.
The police have not allowed home delivery of goods bought through the online medium during the ongoing prohibitory order. However, today a bench of Justices Sapana Pradhan Malla and Kumar Chudal issued an interim order asking the administration not to create any obstacle in the delivery of goods and services bought through online portals and to also allow e-commerce services to continue. Meanwhile, the justices have stated that all health safety protocols must be followed during such operations.
During the first lockdown the administration had allowed home delivery services and businesses through online portals but in the current prohibitory order all such activities have been barred.
