CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal said those embracing democratic system and patriotic thinking have been adopting scientific perspectives for country's development.
He said this at an inaugural program of the second national general convention of the Federation of Nepalese National Industries and Entrepreneurs.
Speaking on the occasion, Nepal, also the former Prime Minister, he said the communist party was established with a resolution to end autocratic regime for the safeguarding of country's integrity.
Lambasting communists for showing greed for power of late, he said such tendency is behind laggard in country's progress and development.
Stressing the need of industrialization for mitigating existing poverty and backwardness in the country, he stressed the need to execute socialism-based economic systems.
Nepal also highlighted the need to create employment opportunities in agriculture, tourism, energy and infrastructure development so as to develop a self-reliant economy.
The political leadership required to be forward-looking to ensure good governance, prosperity and social justice based political transformation, the former PM added.
He underlined the need of unity and coordination between pro-change forces and democratic forces for the protection of hard-earned political achievements.
Also speaking on the occasion, general-secretary Ghanashyam Bhusal said the government should create an environment conducive for the returns of investment.
The general convention has elected a 75-member working committee under the leadership of Lanka KC. ---
