Police have impounded six tippers from Hemja in Pokhara Metropolitan-25 for loading illegally extracted sand, pebbles, and gravel on Wednesday morning.
One of the drivers arrested has been identified as Sanubhai Magar (39), a local resident of Simpani in Pokhara Metropolis-1 while the names of the other five have not been disclosed.
Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Hemja-based Temporary Police Post impounded the vehicles used in extracting aggregates illegally.
Further investigation into the case is underway, said the police.
