The first meeting of the Socialist Front, Nepal held Saturday has decided to organize political events in the provincial capital cities of all seven provinces.
The meeting of the Front took place at the central office of CPN (Unified Socialist) in Aloknagar in the Capital City.
The programmes would be held in the provincial capital cities by mid-August to 'share the message of the Front to the people'.
Vice-Chairman of CPN (US) Rajendra Pandey said that the meeting discussed the ways to advance democratic socialist movement in the country adding that mass assemblies would be convened in all seven provinces within some days.
The next meeting of the Front scheduled on July 12 would decide on the programmes for the provinces, according to Pandey.
Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal , CPN (US) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajwadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav, Nepal Communist Party General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand 'Biplav' and other leaders of the Front were present.
Likewise, today's meeting has formed a four-member taskforce to work out on dates of the mass assemblies and the code of conducts of the Front.
The taskforce include Dev Prasad Gurung from CPN (Maoist Centre), Pramesh Hamal of CPN (US), Rajendra Shrestha of Janata Samajwadi Party and Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma of Nepal Communist Party.
According to Pandey, the taskforce is assigned to prepare the policy document of 'Socialism with Nepali Characteristics'.
Similarly, the leadership of the Front would be shared on rotational basis on each six month and the next meeting would take a concrete decision to this end, Pandey shared.
