Tensions were high in Melamchi-4, Sindhupalchowk, when party representatives assisted handicapped and disabled voters inside the polling station instead of their families.
Nepal Army took the situation under control when a health post located at Melamchi Municipality became overcrowded and chaotic.
Similarly, tension has arisen at the Yangri polling station of Thangpal-2 in Panchpokhari when the signature of the Returning Officer was found missing on a ballot paper. The condition of the polling station is also normal now.
Election Officer Bikash Sharma Rijal of Sindhupalchowk stated that voting was now taking place peacefully throughout the district.
