Police have arrested three absconding defendants. He has been sentenced to imprisonment and a fine by the District Court, Dhulikhel.
According to Hari Khatiwada, Deputy Superintendent of Police, the District Police Office and its subordinate police team have sent the three to jail to pay the jail term as per the court order. Dawa Tamang, 46, of Bhumlu Gaonpalika-3 is among those arrested. He has sentenced to two years and six months imprisonment by the district court on April 21, 2015, under the rape case.
Santoshi Basnet, 45, of Tikathali-9 in Lalitpur and currently living in Banepa Municipality-7 has also been arrested in the same case. She was sentenced to two years imprisonment by the district court on April 12, 2019, for embezzling Rs. ten million. Similarly, police have arrested Vishal Tamang, 25, of Panauti Municipality-11 in connection with the case. He was sentenced by the district court to three days imprisonment and a fine of Rs. two thousand
