Former Minister and Member of the House of Representatives Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has been arrested from Budhanilkantha,Kathmandu.
He was arrested on charges of being involved in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees.
He was taken to District Police Office Kathmandu Teku.
When MP Rayamajhi was in Arghakhanchi, his home district, he absconded on his way back to Kathmandu when he got the news that warrant had been issued.
Former Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, who was arrested on the charge of being involved in the business of sending Nepali youths to the US as fake Bhutanese refugees, has been out of touch.
Rayamajhi, who was present as a guest at an event organized in Arghakhanchi along with Speaker of the House of Representative, Devraj Ghimire, has lost contact from Butwal while coming to Kathmandu.
Earlier, the police had issued an arrest warrant against Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and his son Sandeep.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, an arrest warrant has been issued against them in the case of Nepalis being sent as Bhutanese refugees to America.
Former Home Minister Balkrishna Khand, Vice President's Office Secretary Teknarayan Pandey and others have been arrested in this case.
