Transfer of health equipment worth Rs 4.5 million

Health equipment has been handed over with the help of Rotary Club to upgrade the emergency service room of Shir Memorial Hospital in Ghokechaur, Banepa Municipality-5 of Kavrepalanchok.

 Materials have been handed over to the hospital management with the joint support of Rotary Club Dhulikhel, Banepa, Lalitpur and Singapore. Handing over the supplies, Banepa Municipality Chief Shanti Ratna Shakya said that it was necessary to further improve and expand the services provided by the hospital. "Nowadays, there is room for improvement by expanding the services provided by the hospital. Attention needs to be paid to addressing the grievances of the people." He said. Sundar Thapa, executive director of the hospital, said that the hospital has a lot of work to be done and services need to be expanded.

 At present, an average of 25 to 30 patients are being treated daily in the emergency room of the hospital, according to the hospital. As there are only six beds in the emergency service room now, it is necessary to expand it as per the government rules, said Executive Director Thapa. The Rotary Club has donated about Rs. 4.5 million including 17 different types of materials as well as various other items.
