Two bills related to aviation tabled in National Assembly

The National Assembly session today unanimously passed the proposal to endorse the Nepal Air Service Authority, 2076 and the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority Bill, 2076 put forth by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Gyanendra Bahadur Karki on behalf of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Earlier, a proposal to deliberate on both the Bills alongside the Committee's report had been tabled in the NA meeting.

Likewise, the report related to the Standards, Weights and Measurement (Fifth Amendment) Bill, 2076 has been tabled at the NA session. President of the Legislation Management Committee Parshuram Meghi Gurung presented the Bill.

The meeting has also passed a condolence motion on the demise of former member of the House of Representatives, Akabar Bahadur Singh.

The proposal to endorse the motion was forwarded by the NA Chair Ganesh Prasad Timilsina.

On the occasion, a minute's silence was observed while condolences were offered to the bereaved family. The NA will meet next on August 4.
