Two COVID deaths reported in Baglung

Two senior citizens have succumbed to COVID-19 in Baglung. The names of the 68-year-old and 82-year-old men have not been disclosed. They are residents of Badigaad Rural Municipality-2 and Baglung Municipality-3. They died while undergoing treatment at Dhaulagiri Hospital.

The 82-year-old man died on Monday evening while the 68-year-old died on Tuesday morning, informed Dev Prakash Ghimire, the focal health personnel for COVID-19 in the district.

The 68-year-old man was admitted to the hospital on June 2 after showing symptoms of COVID-19 and tested positive for coronavirus on the same day. The 82-year-old tested positive for COVID-19 today. His swab sample was taken on Monday evening after he showed symptoms of COVID-19.

With this, 52 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the district so far among which 41 people have died since the start of the second wave of COVID which began in April.
