Two killed in Sindhuli landslide, flood

Body recovered from Kamalamai River in Sindhuli; one buried in landslide debris

Two persons died in separate natural disasters caused due to torrential rainfall in Sindhuli district, on Thursday. A man was buried in landslide debris while another was swept away by the swollen Kamalamai River.

An individual died after a landslide occurred in Ram Bahadur Bamjan Ashram at Kamalamai Municipality-8 in the district.

Police Inspector Buddhimani Nepal said that 69-year-old Larin Bahadur Himdung, alias Mahatma Guru of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City died as the landslide occurred off the Ashram.

Body of Santa Bahadur Magar (87) was recovered from the river at Sisneri in Kamalamai-8, according to police

Meanwhile, police personnel have rescued many people stranded due to swollen rivers in different places in the district.
