Two roads connecting the provincial capital Hetauda to the federal capital Kathmandu have been completely blocked due to landslides triggered by incessant rain.
The road passing through Sisneri, Kulekhani, Farping and Kathmandu has been blocked by landslide in Ramchandra Bhanjyang of Indrasarowar Rural Municipality-3, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Laksmi Bhandari.
Likewise, the Kanti highway has been completely blocked due to the landslides that fell in Bhimphedi rural municipality-8 Mahadeotar road section of Makwanpur.
Efforts are underway to clear the roads for traffic by removing the landslides debris, DSP Bhandari said.
