Dev Kumar Nepali of the CPN (UML) has been reelected as the mayor of the Dhorpatan Municipality in Baglung district. Nepali secured 5,735 votes against 5,135 votes polled by his nearest competitor Chandralal Aryal of the CPN (Maoist Center).
Dhan Bahadur Kayat of the ruling coalition won the election to the post of deputy mayor. Kayat of the Nepali Congress bagged 5,650 votes.
Similarly, Ban Bahadur Chhantyal of the Nepali Congress has been elected the ward chair of Ward no 1 by securing 682 votes, Bhek Bahadur Khatri of the Rashtriya Janamorcha has been elected ward chair of ward no 2 by polling 728 votes, Khim Bahadur Sunar of CPN (UML) as the ward chair of ward number 3 by securing 590 votes, Tilak Pun of CPN (UML) as the chair of ward number 4 by polling 905 votes, Dipendra Pun Magar of the UML has been elected the ward chair at ward no 5 by polling 797 votes.
Likewise, Umesh Kumar Budha Magar of the UML, who secured 781 votes, has been elected the ward chair of ward number 6, and Dhan Bahadur Adai of the Rashtriya Janamorcha, who secured 497 votes has been elected the ward chair of ward number 7, Bhadramani Sunar of the Maoist Center, who secured 709 votes, has been elected the ward chair of ward number 8 and Khim Bahadur Ghartimagar of the UML has been elected the ward chair of ward number 9 by securing 402 votes.
