Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, has said uplifting people's living standards is the major objective of the incumbent government.
At the 17th anniversary of Shanti Namuna Basic School at Madhyabindu-1 of Nawalparasi Purba on Friday, he opined that the government had been moving ahead to uplift the living standard of the people by making the social and cultural transformation.
Stating that the government would increase the budget in the educational sector to make public educational institutions capable to provide quality education, the DPM mentioned that the government had devoted itself to creating an environment conducive to the people's easy access to basic needs like education, health, drinking water, food, and housing.
"The main objective of political change is uplifting people's living standards. So, economic prosperity along with social and cultural transformation is set as the main target", said the DPM.
