Vehicle carrying tax evaded Mobil oil impounded in Nawalpur

Police in Nawalparasi west district on Monday seized a vehicle carrying a huge quantity of tax evaded Mobil oil in Susta Rural Municipality-5.

Police personnel deployed from Nawalparasi District Police Office (DPO) intercepted the vehicle (Lu 1 Cha 4628) while conducting the routine check. When the DPO found that the Mobil oil was brought from India evading the customs tax, they impounded the vehicle and detained its driver, Pappu Tharu (25) of Kudiya in Susta-3.

Meanwhile, the impounded vehicle laden with oil goods worth Rs 460,400 and the driver were handed over to the Maheshpur Customs Office, Nawalparasi for necessary action, DPO informed.
