Vice-President Yadav terms Nepal's social goodwill as unique in the world

Vice-President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav on Tuesday hoisted a national flag at the premises of Tasmaiyababa Garden at Matihani Municipality-7 in Mahottari district.

The Vice-President Yadav hoisted the flag at the height of 110 feet, which is said to be the tallest one in the country.

Chief of Madhesh Province Hari Shankar Mishra, Chief Minister of Madhesh Province Saroj Kumar Yadav, province assembly members, government officials and others were present at the flag hoisting ceremony.

The municipality said that so far Rs 11 million has been spent for the development of the garden and the total cost of the national flag installation was Rs 1.25 million.

On the occasion, the Vice-President said that the tolerance and mutual goodwill of the Nepali society was the unique one in the world.

Receiving the civic felicitation at Matihani on Tuesday, the Vice-President said that mutual harmony and goodwill among Nepalis irrespective of their castes, religious beliefs and languages was exemplary in the world.

Addressing the event in the Maithili language, the Vice-President said that our society is tolerant to each other's faiths, which is the lesson to be shared to others.

Likewise, Yadav added that the religious sites of the ancient Mithila region could be developed as the religious touristic sites.

During the programme, Mayor of Matihani Hari Prasad Mandal handed over a letter of appreciation to the Vice-President.
