Transportation of ballot boxes to the Dolpa district headquarters has been affected due to strong wind in the district's upper belt.
District Election Office Dolpa’s Chief Ram Bahadur Sarki said that transport of ballot boxes from some sites has been hampered by the wind. Arrangements are in place to airlift the election materials from the local levels in the Upper Dolpa, which is hit by heavy snowfall
Of the eight local levels, ballot boxes from two local levels have been transported to the headquarters Dunai. According to the Office, ballot boxes collected from Thulobheri and Tripura Sundari municipalities have safely reached the district headquarters for the counts.
However, the ballot papers received from Jagadulla and Mudkechula rural municipalities in the lower Dolpa are expected to be there by tomorrow morning.
