Wire net and CCTV cameras have been installed at Chitwan's vote-counting place to make the place secure.

Altogether nine CCTV cameras were installed in the place where vote-counting of the by-election is taking place, according to Ishwor Acharya, assistant election officer.

Votes cast in the Chitwan-2 by-election would be counted at Chitwan Exhibition Centre which is further secured by a net.

It may be recalled that ballot papers were torn apart during vote counting in the 2074 BS election. Hence, special attention is paid to security arrangements in the vote-counting station.

According to Acharya, all ballot papers cast in the by-election would be brought to the vote-counting place today itself and the counting will be begun as soon as possible.

Time for the counting would be determined after all party's meetings, he said.

According to the Election Commission of Nepal, 63 percent of votes were cast in Chitwan constituency-2 by-election.
