An elderly woman has been killed in Urlabari of Morang district. Police have arrested the son on the charge of murder.
According to DSP Deepak Shrestha of District Police Office, Morang, 35-year-old son Ganga Prasad Bhandari has been arrested for the murder of 70-year-old Chandra Maya Bhandari of Urlabari Municipality-4.
According to police, Ganga Prasad stabbed his mother on Sunday evening during a family dispute.
An elderly woman who was critically injured in the attack died at Madan Bhandari Hospital and Trauma Center Mangalbare at around 10:25 pm on Sunday, police said.
Ganga Prasad has been taken under control by the Urlabari Area Police Office on the charge of involvement in the murder.
