Work for development, prosperity: President Paudel

President Ramchandra Paudel has expressed his commitment to devote for the nation's development and prosperity.

Saying that he would not engage in party politics, President Paudel shared that he would always remain active for the cause of development and good-governance.

Inaugurating a city hall at Vyas Municipality-3 in Tanahun district today, the President said that the country lagged behind due to under development.

President Paudel inaugurated the city hall constructed by the Ministry of Urban Development.

On the occasion, President Paudel said, "He speaks about development everywhere and draws everyone's attention (for development)" adding that it was his responsibility.

The President was of the view that development was the first priority of the country.

Likewise, the President said that development was possible from stability and good-governance while arguing that it was all's responsibility to safeguard the constitution.

"It is my responsibility to safeguard the transformation. My efforts will be to that end for being a defender of the constitution," according to President Paudel.

The President viewed that the hapless people should get justice and poor need income.

On a different note, the President said that cooperation among the major political parties was needed to strengthen the nation.

Likewise, Urban Development Minister Sita Gurung and Gandaki Province Chief Prithvi Man Gurung also shared their views at the event.

At the event, Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Surendra Raj Pandey argued that attempts are made to establish false narratives that nothing happens in this country and added that those trying to take benefits out of wrong message should be defeated.

Lawmakers Dr Swornim Wagle, Shankar Bhandari, Pradip Paudel, Bhagawati Neupane and Prakash Pantha also expressed their views calling for cooperation among all political parties for the development of Tanahun district.

The city hall was constructed at a cost of Rs 236.2 million. The construction of the city hall was started from February 11, 2018.
