Youth arrested for raping minor in Parsa

Police arrested a youth on charge of raping a 15-year-old minor girl from Bahadarmai Municipality-2 in Parsa district on Wednesday.

The arrested has been identified as Dharmaraj Shah Kanu (25) of Pipra in the district.

Kanu allegedly lied to the minor that he would marry her and also employ her and established a sexual relationship with her. The incident took place in Sakhuwaprasauni Rural Municipality-4 on June 28.

Acting on a tip-off, security personnel immediately nabbed the accused.

Kanu has been charged under a rape case and further investigation into the case is being carried out, informed District Police Office, Parsa.
