Police have arrested a youth this afternoon along with the drug- brown sugar in front of the Mechi Customs Office Gate at Mechinagar-6 in Jhapa. Police have arrested Rakesh Tamang, 26, of Gufadanda in Panchthar Phagunanda Rural Municipality-3 with 50 grams of brown sugar, said Basanta Pathak, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Jhapa.
Police team deployed from District Police Office, Jhapa, Drug Control Bureau, Kakadvitta and Area Police Office, Kakarvitta recovered brown sugar from him in a plastic bag. The arrested Tamang has been kept at the Area Police Office, Kakarvitta and further investigation is underway, according to the District Police Office, Jhapa.
