Police in Khotang district on Wednesday arrested two youths on charge of killing a man in Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-3.
The deceased has been identified as Giriraj Thapa (33) while the accused have been identified as Narayan Thapa (22), the younger brother of the deceased, and a 13-year-old boy, an accomplice to murder.
According to police, Giriraj, who had gone out of the house on Wednesday afternoon and did not return home till late in the evening. However, later he was found dead in a field 200 metres away from his house while searching for the youth who had gone missing
The preliminary investigation showed that Giriraj had been strangled with a rope, said the police.
Khotang District Police Office (DPO) arrested the duo suspect.
Further investigation into the case is underway, said DPO.
