The Facebook pages of the Chief Minister (CM) of Province 2 Lalbabu Raut were hacked on Friday morning.
Two pages under Raut’s name – one on his name and another on Province 2 CM – and two other pages related to him – page under the name of Chief Minister Communication Secretariat Province 2 and another page belonging to his press aide Aatish Mishra – were hacked simultaneously at around 9:30 am Friday, according to Mishra.
The hacker changed the profile photos replacing them with a photo of a young woman. All the links embedded and shared on the page, CM Lalbabu Raut, were also removed by the hacker, Mishra said.
Immediately after the hack, the CM’s Secretariat informed the Cyber Crime Bureau under the Nepal Police about the incident. The secretariat also asked the people to ignore any new posts made in the page as they were posted by the hackers.
