Leader of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Giriraj Mani Pokharel has said they had to wage a protest to safeguard federalism.
"We had to take to the streets against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) after quitting the position of ministers," he said talking to mediapersons here today.
Leader Pokharel, who quit as education minister in the incumbent government, argued that the HoR dissolution would end stability and federalism.
The leader reached Siraha district to join a programme organised by Dahal-Nepal faction of the NCP (NCP) at Dhangadhimai Municipality.
