The election to the House of Representatives (HoR) and Province Assembly taken place on Thursday in 10 polling centers of Dolakha district was held in a peaceful manner, Chief Returning Officer Dilli Ratna Shrestha said.
It is said that voter turnout in the 10 polling centers of four polling stations remained 50 per cent. The total voters there were 8,514.
Currently, an all-party meeting is ongoing to decide on vote counting.
The reelection was conducted in polling centers ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ of Baiteshwor Secondary School of Baneshwor Rural Municipality and in polling centers ‘A’ and ‘B’ of Jana Jyoti Secondary School of Baneshwor-2. Likewise, reelection was held in polling centers ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ of Kalidhunga Secondary School of Baneshwor-3.
The reelection was also held in polling centers ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ at the Japhe-based Health Post in Tamakoshi Rural Municipality-3.
The voting in those polling centers was rescheduled following a dispute after the November 20 election.
The district has a HoR seat and 94 polling stations and 195 polling centers. With a total of 161,450 voters, 21 candidates are vying for the HoR seat in Dolakha including seven independent and 14 political parties’ candidates.
