An orientation to the Bagmati province assembly members is to be held today to elect the common presidential candidate of the eight political parties, Ram Chandra Poudel, victorious to the post.
It may be noted that the 'President Election Campaign Mobilization and Coordination Mechanism' was formed under the premiership of Nepali Congress Vice-President Purna Bahadur Khadka with the representatives from other political parties as the members to emerge former Speaker Poudel in the presidential election scheduled for March 9.
NC office chief secretary Krishna Poudel informed the orientation programme to the Bagmati province assembly members of all eight political parties would be held in Ananda Event, New Baneshwor at 1.00 pm Friday.
According to the NC official sources, the central orientation programme would be held in all provinces.
Earlier, the eight political parties had organised an orientation programme for the House of Representatives and National Assembly members in federal capital Kathmandu in the presence of top leaders.
