Chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said he rejected the proposal put forth by CPN (UML) Chairperson, KP Sharma Oli.
Chairperson Nepal, who arrived in Surkhet on Monday for an orientation program for party strengthening in Karnali, shared that he rejected Chairperson Oli's proposal of sharing the presidential term, saying it was not good for the nation.
He opined, "We supported the Nepali Congress candidate Ram Chandra Poudel thinking it would be better to support the alliance, to maintain honesty and balance of power."
Saying his party's existence and role was significant in the country, Chairperson Nepal mentioned national consensus was needed for the protection of the constitution, federalism, democracy, and republicanism.
