The Nepali Congress has demanded the government change the necessary legal arrangements so that the presidential election can be held on time.
The meeting of the party office bearers held at the residence of Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba in Dhumbarahi on Monday morning drew the attention of the government and the Election Commission to prepare for the presidential election so that the new president will be reinstated on the day the 5-year term is completed.
In the meeting, the party chairman Deuba alerted the party leaders to unite so that all the power of the party is mobilized in the presidential election. Joint General Secretary Badri Pandey said that the meeting also united the party to win the party's candidate for the presidency.
