Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has said that the 14th General Convention has given the message that it is not possible for the party to function in the status quo.
In a statement issued today, Dr. Koirala, who was competing with the Prime Minister and President Sher Bahadur Deuba in the 14th General Convention, said that the party has conveyed the message that it is not possible for the party to function in the status quo. "My fight is against the apolitical tendency in the party," he said.
Koirala said that he has come forward with energetic youth to make the party accountable, responsible, transparent, and responsible. He says that he has won the election despite losing the election. Stating that he would remain steadfast in the trust and confidence shown in him by 40 percent of the delegates, Koirala expressed confidence that his entire team would work for the transformation and operation of the party in a new way. He also congratulated Deuba on his re-election and wished him a successful tenure.
