It is seen that all the counting of votes in both parliaments towards the proportional system under the election of members of the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly held on 20th of November will end on Tuesday. Direct counting of votes has ended today.
According to the information in the Election Commission's system, 10,400.439 votes have been counted in the House of Representatives. Kamal Bhattarai, Assistant Spokesperson of the Commission, informed that counting of votes of Syangja Region No. 2, Dolakha and Bajura is yet to be done for this system.
After the results, the Commission will write to the parties for the recommendation of names along with the number of seats that the parties will get based on the closed list of proportional candidates submitted by the parties to the Commission. The parties will have seven days for the House of Representatives and three days for the Provincial Assembly to submit the names. While the total number of voters for the election was 179,885, it was reported that 61 percent (1973,27) votes were cast in the preliminary report.
