CPN UML not to vote in favour of PM Deuba

The CPN UML has decided to vote against the government during the vote of confidence at the House of Representatives.

The CPN UML has decided to vote against the government during the vote of confidence at the House of Representatives. Spokesperson of the party, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, informed that the Standing Committee meeting which was held today has decided to vote against the government led by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is also the president of Nepal Congress.

Gyawali also mentioned the meeting had decided to direct the party lawmakers to vote against PM Deuba during the vote of confidence in the House.

He further added the Standing Committee meeting has also approved the 10-point proposal prepared by the taskforce that had been formed to resolve the disputes between the factions led by Chairperson KP Sharma Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.

The party will now look into implementing the proposal that has been drafted to forge unity between the warring factions since it has now been approved, shared Gyawali. He informed the Standing Committee meeting had also extended its gratitude to the 10-member taskforce for its proposal and that the taskforce had been dissolved now.
