The senior leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Jhalanath Khanal, has said his party would contest at all local levels in the upcoming election.
At a programme organised by the Ilam-Kathmandu Contact Forum of the party here Saturday, leader Khanal suggested party leaders and cadres be well aware of the Local-Level Election Act.
He shared that there would be progress and prosperity in the country after the establishment of a socialist economy. It would be realized only from the victory of CPN US representing the working-class people.
Also the former Prime Minister, Khanal expressed concern over the failure to eliminate poverty, end injustice, discrimination and suppression through people's revolution was a success.
He opined, "As long as we do not reach socialism, social discrimination continues." The CPN (US) leader stressed that artists should now create socialist art and literature.
Similarly, Politburo member Premal Khanal, central committee member Pramila Basnet, among others urged party cadres to be active in necessary publicity to ensure victory to party candidates in every district.
